This site includes a link to the Rothschild Buildings which were built by a company formed by Baron Nathan Meyer de Rothschild who was the unofficial leader of Anglo-Jewry. The Baron's  company built cheap tenement dwellings for Jewish tenants as well as providing a reasonable return to its shareholders.

The site not only has a section on Housing ... it also has a section on Schooling at the beginning of the twentieth century.
