Look up needed please - Talboys of Gawthopre and WHISTON

Hi

I'm wondering if someone would be able to solve a huge problem for me please ?
I'm desperate to find the baptism and parents of a Thomas Talboys or any other Talboys born around 1510 - 1530 and baptised either at Gawthorpe or Whiston Yorkshire.
Google very helpfully suggested that the answer could be found in the Northern Genealogist book published in 1895. I have purchased the book on CD and have searched and searched and can not find the answer!

The only other information I have on Thomas is that he married a lady called Isabel (year not known) and had a son Richard Talboys who married a lady called Ellenor Anderson possibly of York, again I have no year of birth or marriage for Richard.
Richard and Ellenor had a son Richard who became Sheriff of Gloucester and owned several manor houses.

Any help or suggestion would be very welcome

Yes I have exhausted the IGI and tried so many different spelling variations and still drawn a blank !
