St. Paul Exeter Parish Registers - LILLIE and BAKER
« on: Sunday 27 April 08 16:30 BST (UK) »

I am researching a marriage entry in Boyds for a Thomas Lillie(y) and Mary Baker  who married in St. Paul's, Exeter in 1763.  I should be very grateful if any one who has access to the St. Paul registers could check them for this marriage and any additional information which there might be - particularly regarding the occupation of the bridegroom and his parish of residence ... he might just be the  4 x gt grandfather I'm looking for!

Thank you!

Rachel

Hi Rachel,

These  early marriage records  rarely give the grooms occupation and they usually just say "of this parish "

They are not very helpful I am afraid.

But you might get lucky with a witnesses  Undecided

Yes, I know it's a long shot but it would be great to have the entry confirmed if at all possible - and if there is any additional information it would be most valuable - so I'm still hoping someone could check it out, just in case.
