hi all,im trying to start on my husbands family tree but am so far getting nowhere atall.
his nans memory is so bad she forgot her own sisters name lol.so how accurate the info i have is i dont know.
ok heres what i have.
husbands grandmother:
nellie snell(maiden name JOHNSON)
BORN:gravesend kent 23rd july 1920
husband:ALFRED SNELL
mothers name:annie thompson
father:alfred johnson

sisters and brothers(these may not be accurate)
annie,mary,alfred,amy,frank,arthur,joe

i cant find his name let alone her parents etc.
the only one i have found that i think is linked is
mary johnson born 1911 mothers maiden name thompson.but it may not be linked atall.

any help on this would be brill thankyou ever so much

Sorry this request has gone unanswered for so long - this doesn't usually happen here on Rootschat Undecided

Birth registration Nellie JOHNSON September quarter 1920 Gravesend registration district (mother's maiden name THOMPSON) ref. 2a 1430.

These do look like they could be birth registrations of Nellie's siblings:

Mary JOHNSON (THOMPSON) December quarter 1911 Gravesend RD ref. 2a 1209

Annie JOHNSON (THOMPSON) September quarter 1913 Gravesend RD ref. 2a 1437

Frank V JOHNSON (THOMPSON) December quarter 1915 Gravesend RD ref. 2a 1185

I was going to look at the online parish registers for the Gravesend area to see if I could spot a baptism for Nellie (to verify names of her parents) but seem to be having trouble with the site at the moment http://cityark.medway.gov.uk/
