Emma Jennings

Hi,

Could anyone possibly find out the marriage details of Emma Jennings.  She appears in the 1861 census in hampshire at the five alms inn under the employ of Henry Cox but then seems to disappear.  Have found record of a marriage on FREE BMD for a Emma Jennings in 1870 in Basingstoke but unfortunately it hold no info on her or the man she married.  My Emma was born in Burbage, Wiltshire in 1833,  Please help!!!

Thanks
Tanya

A possible husband for this Emma in 1870 is Charles Henry Kelley.  Checking the 1871 census, there is a Charles Kelly with a wife Emma living in Reading.  This Emma was born in Basingstoke and is only 19.  So probably that marriage record can be discounted.

The only Emma that I can find born approx 1833 in Burbage is an Emma Church married to a David.  Can't find that marriage at the moment.  They had a 13 year old daughter as their eldest child.  So this doesn't seem likely either.

Hi Tanya

I had a look at the 1861 Census entry and the entry is for St Marys, Marlborough,Wiltshire not Hampshire.

Perhaps you should post this on Wiltshire site.

Best of luck
