Parr/Newbon Lougborough
« on: Monday 28 April 08 23:23 BST (UK) »

This is a bit of a long shot but is any one researching the names Parr or Newbon from Loughborough or maybe has any connection to Loughborough who could help out with the "Anzac Mystery" thread over on the Emigrants to Australia board.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi all, I have taken the plunge and contacted the Loughborough Echo - the local paper- for help. i live in L'boro myself so am also recruited to look in the local paper archives.

This is a very moving story and well worth a look.

Thanks also Diddy

I have started another thread on the Australian Board in light of the success
of the Parr/Newbon story re a Northamptonshire family.

It has had an amazing success in just a couple of hours.   Smiley
