Believe that Laurance Reynolds (born about 1840 in Mohill, Leitrim, Ireland) left Lancashire, England in February (probably about 1860) mirgrated to US (probably NY or NJ). Married Mary Kavanagh(born about 1845 in Ireland) between 1860 and 1866. they moved to Chicago where both lived, worked and died (1998 and 1924) . I have found several L. Reynolds on passenger lists but need their marriage certificate to determine which one is "mine". Age is the key difference on the lists. Surviving children include: Jim, Tom, John, and Mary. Any clues would be of a great worth. Thanks.
I have found a Lawrence with Mary A and sons James and Lawrence in Lake, Cook county, Ill in 1870. Is that them? If so, the boys were both born in Illinois, so do you think the parents married there? And maybe it would help to find what church they would have been members of in Lake Township and start there.
