I am looking for the marriage of John Taylor and Hannah/Ann about 1800 in the Rotherfield/ Frant areas of Sussex. Can anyone help me please

Hi Poppyann

There's an IGI submitted marriage at Rotherfield 16 July 1805 to Ann Wallis.

John's parents are given as Thomas and Martha.

Any good - or too late ?

Mum should that read 1805  Wink Smiley ?

I checked the Sussex Marriage Index and that one and one earlier the same year 9 February 1805 to Ann Vail are the only two at Rotherfield.

Thomas married Martha Arkcoll on 23 June 1766 at Rotherfield and both of this parish.

Thanks mum and kerry. John and Hannah or Ann's first child was born in 1803 so would expect the marriage to be before 1803. Poppyann

The only other option in that case is that they married in Kent as the border is not that far from Frant??
