Good evening,
I would be very grateful for details from the Census returns for the following household:
John ARMSTRONG b. 1823 Weardale.
Isabella (née ELLIOTT ?) b. 1828 Birtley, Durham.
- Mary E. b. 1848 Hetton le Hole
- Thomas b. 1850 Hetton le Hole
- Frances A. b. 1852 Hetton le Spring
- Sarah J. b. 1857 Sunderland
- Walter (Walton) b. 1859 Monkwearmouth
- Margaret b. 1862 Byers Green
- Elizabeth b. 1865 Tudhoe
- Isabella b. 1867 Tudhoe
- John T. b. 1871 Tudhoe
- Joseph b. 1873 Tudhoe
In 1841 John is to be found, aged 17, living in the household of his mother Mary ARMSTRONG, aged 48, b. c1793 Bishopswearmouth.
In 1851 John is married to Isabella. I would be very interested in the 1851, 1861 and 1871 Censuses. 1881 I have.
John died in 1886 I think, so he doesn't appear in thte 1891 Census, but Isabella should somewhere, as she died in 1892.
I haven't been able to nail down John & Isabella's marriage, which could logically be around 1847 in view of the birth of the first child in 1848. I had been under the impression that her maiden name was ELLIOTT but I'm not sure anymore ! Rumour has it that they were married in Weardale.
Addresses and occupations would be a bonus please !

Looks like daughter Isabella married James Brown aged 24 a Colliery Engineman with son John aged 1 & Mary aged 5
& Joseph Armstrong was listed as an Imbecile
