Hi,

On the 1871

RG10/2601
Registration district:    Westbury On Severn
Sub-registration district:    Newnham
ED:    27
Folio:    44
Page:    2

living at Far...day Cottage in East Dean

James Cook, head, m, 35, colliery blacksmith, Weston, Herefordshire.
Ann, wife, m, 51, house wife, Mitcheldean, Glo'shire.

On the transcription it gives Timothy as "Smith Cook", but the image clearly reads Timothy!

Hope this helps

HI,

Had a look for Louisa with no success.

The nearest match I found was a servant living in Mitcheldean, age 17, born Drybrook, but listed clearly as Alice Trigg.  There was a Mary Jane Trigg, 15, servant listed just underneath her on the census (? sister as both unmarried and born Drybrook, but no proof of a relationship)

Alice Trigg 17  Drybrook, Gloucestershire, England Servant  Mitcheldean
Mary Jane Trigg 15  Drybrook, Gloucestershire, England Servant  Mitcheldean

  RG10/2602
Registration district:    Westbury On Severn
Sub-registration district:    Newnham
ED:    30
Folio:    15
Page:    21

Not sure if this is Louisa, but might be worth filing away just in case.

Hi,

On the 1861,

I looked for Drybrook without success.  Then went to Mitcheldean

RG 9 / 1756 / 77 / page 7

living on High street,

Thomas Cook, head, mar, 39, blacksmith, Gloucestershire, Mitcheldean.
Ann, wife, mar, 31, Gloucestershire, Abinghall.
Sarah A, daur, 7, Gloucestershire, Mitcheldean.
Tom, son, 6 Gloucestershire, Mitcheldean.
James, son, 4, Gloucestershire, Mitcheldean.
Arther (?), son, 2, Gloucestershire, Mitcheldean.
Sarah Cook, Mother, W, 73, Gloucestershire, East Dean.

I didn't see the Trigg family in Mitcheldean.

Hope this takes you a little further.

There's a Luisa here - perhaps relation?

1871 census of "Private House", West Dean, Glos

John Trigg, Head, M, 40, Bollier, East Dean
Luisa Trigg, Wife, M, 41, -, West Dean
Jemima M Trigg, Daur, -, -, West Dean
Anna Trigg, Daur, -, -, West Dean

Take care,
Paul
