« on: Tuesday 29 April 08 18:54 BST (UK) »

How do I find out about emigrants from Ireland and Scotland that came to England in the 1750 to 1850.
Is there any records of ships they would have sailed in.
and would they have the passengers names?
Looking for the names Brett or Britt, Usher,Geoghan.Edmoundson
Usher was born in Dublin, and Edmondson was born in Scotland
Brett or Bret or Britt? Geoghan? do not know where
Grateful for any help

Hi MBRA,

Welcome to Rootschat  Smiley

Sorry, but there are no records (ships lists) of people coming from Ireland to England, or from Scotland to England.

I've moved your James BRETT topic to the Lancashire board; I suggest you put a topic on the scottish board for your other names.

Good luck,
Bob
