Baptism Lookup Please

Hi Everyone. Smiley

I am trying to find the baptism of my Mother.....
Eileen Mary Hannah b 5th June 1921 in 11 Demesne St Seacombe Wallasey.
The birth was registered by my Grandfather Reginald Edwin Hannah on the 16 June 1921 as his wife my Grandmother May Agnes Hannah died 6 days after the birth.
Their religion was R/C and I beleive the nearest Catholic church nearby was Our Lady Star of the Sea & St Josephs (Combined) in Wheatland Lane Seacombe.
I dont know when in those days if children had to be baptised shortly after the birth.The only other details I have is that my Grandmother May Agnes Hannah was buried on the 18th June in Rake Lane Cemetery (Thanks to Celia) and the (ceremomy was performed by a J.E LEDDON maybe this would help in what church they attended)  and I would presume my Mum would have been baptised maybe in the the following months.
The other reason I needed her baptism details is that I am tying to find out who her Godparents where as I think they are recorded on the baptism details in the church.'
Thanks in advance and any minor detail or direction that I can be pointed in would be greatly appreciated.'

Hi Maureen

If they are catholic, it may be hard to look for a baptism. As records for Catholic churches have not been filmed. You could try contacting the church.

Others may have other ideas.

The Cheshire Records Office in Chester does hold some Roman Catholic parish records. I only know because I went there once to look up some baptism records for my own research.Mine were in the original books -and did have the godparents names.

I sent them an e-mail to see if they had baptisms for Our Lady and St Joseph's in Seacombe/Wallasey. I got a reply saying they do have them from 1864-1944.(also marriages from 1868-1933). I think they're on microfilm.

If you post a request to see if someone is going to the Cheshire Records Office - they might be able to do a look-up for you.
