Hello RootsChatters,
Could SKS please take a look at the 1861 for Rebecca WRATTEN b. 1854, Burmarsh, Kent ? I think her father is Jacob WRATTEN.
I have found elements of this family in Burmarsh, Brenzett, Brookland, East Guldeford (Sussex) and Saltwood.
Many thanks in advance,
Regards, Bernard

Are you tracing backwards or forwards? I only ask because I do have some WRATTEN/CLOKE references coming forwards.

Hi Casalguidi,
Thanks for responding to both my postings. Your ESP must be on overdrive !!! Just the other day I stumbled upon both of these Wratten entries on someone's CLOAKE website. I knew they must be related but the IGI showed Caroline being a WRATTEN 'til she married Henry CLOAKE. I also saw the Caroline CARR BMD entry together with a WORDSWORTH candidate !!! The Kent Registration Marriage index didn't show either one in 1850...What happened there ??!!!
I found out that Shoebury had/has a large military garrison, so I thought Jacob may have been in the army or something, causing the Essex birth. My original search had been started by a WRATTEN/DRAY marriage which expanded to a CLOAKE/WRATTEN match(es)...
If you have other WRATTEN/ClOKE info, I'll be happy to receive. It's probably all relative !!!
Regards, Bernard

I don't know, there are lots of errors and 1850 is one of the years completely missing
Rebecca WRATTEN sp married Charles CLOKE (son of Henry) ba at Saltwood 29 Feb 1876. I didn't note the father of Rebecca as I was only interested in CLOKE entries at that time.
Now, this is where it gets interesting, Caroline WRATTEN widow (Rebecca's mother) was married to Charles CLOKE's father, Henry CLOKE widower, at Burmarsh in 1867.

Hi Casalguidi,
Thanks for all the additional info. I see that there's also a marriage between William CLOAK (b.1831 Hythe) and a Julia Anna CARR in 1851 ( Saltwood ?). BTW, it was HUGGETT/DRAY marriage that lead me to the CLOAKE website.
Thanks again for all your help,
Regards, Bernard
