Could someone please look at the original image, of the 1861 census, for North Hill. ( Piece: RG9/1521 Place: Launceston -Cornwall Enumeration District: 1 Civil Parish: North Hill Ecclesiastical Parish: - Folio: 3 Page: 1 Schedule: 3 Address: Treswell Green Or Congdon Shop )
In the household, is ... Slip H Rice,Son,U,16,,Carpenter,North Hill Cornwall,
Is this a mistranscription, for Stephen Henry maybe ?
I have found on freeBMD, a Stephen Henry Rice, is born Dec Q 1844, Launceston District.
In 1851, he is not with his parents, but a Steven M Rice, age 6 is with grandparents, Richard and Mary Holman, in South Petherwin.
I am hoping his mother was Ann nee Holman, I couldn't find a marriage on FreeBMD, IGI Batch Nos online or the OPC searchable Database, with the searches I did. She is listed as Ann Holman Rice on one census and some of the children are Holman Rice, but I couldn't find confirmation, to tie this all in.
Thank you junket

Looked at image - hard to read as anything but certainly some sort of abbreviation of Stephen H is most likely
Do you want a run down of the whole h/h? plus another Rice a door or two away?

Blimey, that was quick.
Thank you both of you.
I have the household from COCP and Freecen, thank you, but wanted to establish, who Slip., was.
John Rice father had brother Daniel and sister Elizabeth with him, in 1851.
Elizabeth, could be with parents in 1841, in South Petherwin, aged 9.
But so far, cannot find Baptisms for John, Daniel and Elizabeth Rice.

Thank you osprey.
Are, Henry and Jenny, the same couple as Henry and Jane, please ?
I ask, because, in 1841, Henry and Jenny, have Elizabeth 9. Elizabeth in 1851, is 19, living with John, ( if I have the correct family )
