FRANCE: Can anybody translate a French birth certificate? (2)
« on: Sunday 27 April 08 16:05 BST (UK) »

Hi,

As a follow-up, I have a French birth certificate of the son of the couple married in my previous post from Havre, 1887.

Would anybody be able to have a stab at translating this for me?

Thanks in advance,

Darin, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England.

http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/search/RG/guide/WLFrench.asp can probably get you started a good way.  (I don't speak French, but I can usually work out most of what's happening with my French family, because the records tend to follow a nice predictable pattern).

Hi Muriel,

Thank you for the translation.

It seems as though you have managed to translate all of the details brilliantly.

Thank you once again for your help,

Kindest regards,

Darin.
