Some siblings for Mary b. 1921

POWER Alice    Mann   West Derby.8b   823   Q4   1914

POWER John    Mann   West Derby.8b   565   Q4   1917

POWER Thomas    Mann   West Derby.8b   754   Q3   1912

i would expect that as they [Richard Power & Mary Ann MAnn] married in 1898 that there would have ben children 1898-1911 but mothers maiden names weren't included in the index until Q4 1911 so you will need to wait until the 1911 census to find out these

i was looking for Richard & Mary Ann in 1901 census but i can not see them

i would imagine that they were not 'old' as they were still having children in the 1920's

Hi Toni

Sorry for my stupidity I am so pleased you have found them

I have taken over the tree from my uncle who sadly  passed away last september  the rumour has it my grandmother was born in a work house and I don't know how true it is but as her mother was feeding her she died and my grandmother rolled to her feet.

Is there anyway of getting information about my great grandmother being in a work house do you know and do you know when they are releasing the 1911 census?

Or is that another stupid question

could you please find out for me who was my great grandparents parents please. Thank you for your time

kindest Regards Alison

sorry to hear about your uncle. a lot of people get into family history with the death of a relative, they soon become hooked
i think the best way to progress is to get the marriage cert for Mary Ann Mann & Richard Power
as we (I) can't spot them in 1901, the marriage cert will tell you their fatghers names and we may be able to spot them in 1891, it will also tell you their age which would be a great help!

the 1911 census is being released pretty soon i think in 2009 but they are gradually releasing it so that big areas will be released dfirst and it will all be online by 2011 (someone correct me if i am wrong)
if you know the address that your family were at in 1911 you can pay for acopy of the census at that address but its £45.00 and medical details are witheld.
