I have found a number of neices  and  nephews

Mary D  had a brother Arthur W Bateman  who  has a  large  number of children  in  NSW  with  wife Anna

On  the war record  for Charles D (Daubney) Bateman  you  will see he  is a medical  practioner,  perhaps  the Aunt  helped  with the education  of all  those children.
