Hi could someone look for Mary Clare born c1784 Hale Cheshire i think she will be with her son John Clare b 1815 Hale Cheshire her other son Peter maybe living next door at some point at Burnt house at hoo green

I looked for John on the 1881 but couldn't find him.  I then looked on Cheshire BMD deaths and there are a few John Clares between 1871 and 1881 registered in Warrington with no ages given.  However, there is one John Clare died Knutsford age 63 in 1879 which looks promising.

I knew Maria was in the work house the story goes that when asked who she was she couldnt remember but it turned out ok as she died at warrington a year later and was buried with husband Peter and two of their children.

Ah! I'm glad she was buried with her husband and children, so many who end up in the workhouse or similar institutions are buried elsewhere, sometimes we can't even find where they are buried, it's so sad.  My great great aunt ended up in an institution because she was blind and I can't find where she was buried.  I followed her from birth to death and all that went in between so I felt I knew them all really well.  Her husband James was my great grandfather's eldest brother, so he was one of the first I started researching.
I was so upset when I found his wife Ann ended up in an institution.  James himself was buried with three of his children.   Cry  At least they will be together now  Kiss

 Its so strange how we get so close to the people we research when i feel sad about someone who died as a child or on their own my girls laugh and say " but mum you didnt even them" but i feel i do know them.

I know what you mean.  At lease folk like us who give so much time and effort in tracing our ancestors and finding as much information about them as we can, gives their lives meaning.  They may be dead and gone for over a hundred years, but at least they are not forgotten, and we care what happened to them during their lives. 
Without them, we wouldn't be here.

Mary Clare 3                  born in County
Alice ?      20                       born in County

Don't forget the ages on the 1841 were rounded up (or down what ever the case may be, I can never remember).

I think the 20 year old Alice's surname begins with a T.  Ancestry have it down as Kay, they could be right, however they had John down as John Eline. I've added a correction to that.

I'm having probs getting the actual census pages up at the moment.  Think it is them rather than me.

I was hoping to find the younger Alice on the 1851 - or - do you know what her name would be?

This John was  brother to Thomas Clare married to Mary so dont really know much about him or his family im afraid
