hold your cursor on the edge of the blue taskbar - does it change to a double headed arrow ?

If so, keep it there, and click and drag the TB back to a single line

Hi Jamajo

Check that you haven't locked the task bar (if you have, you can't change it) by right clicking on the taskbar and make sure 'Lock the Taskbar' is not ticked.

Then try what Newfster said again.

Once you get it back to normal, right click the taskbar and choose the lock option - it shouldn't happen again then

good luck

Hi Sue

I've just recreated your problem:

Right click the Task Bar and deselect Lock the Taskbar.

I then went to the top og the Task Bar and dragged it upwards and it doubled in height and the items in the System Tray (the area that contains the time etc) formed 2 rows.

Now to rectify it:

With the Lock the Toolbars still deselected.....
Drag the Taskbar downwards until it is normal height.
Right click the Taskbar and select Lock the Taskbar.

This happened to me when I made the calendar (far right) give the date as well as the time.  Really annoying. Now I just hover over it when I want to know today's date.

Yes, I know.....  But I do need reminding sometimes!
