On the 1851 there are two others also - both married, one to a William one to Joseph

Both aged 21/2

The William one was nee Hewitson
The Jospeh one had two children - John and Ralph

Which one ?

Hi,

In 1861, after her marriage, she has her mother and brother living with her family.  Going on this information I have found this in Wham, Stanhope 1841

HO107/308/10 page 48

Joseph Pattinson, 50, Lead Miner
Jane Pattinson, 45
Thomas, 15, Lead miner
Jane, 10
Joseph, 5

All born county Durham

Born 1829 as in topic heading Jane would be about 22 in 1851 and 32 in 1861

Have I misunderstood?

lol i was talking about her parents in the above, im not 100% on the 1829, it could be out by a few yrs either way. so she could well be 10 in 1841. i think! i always get lost on these things too

So are we saying she wasn't married by 1851 then ?  and Pattinson was her maiden name?

looks good, i've just been looking up eddy's in weardale, it's not a common weardale name, if that was the name of her mother which i think it probably was.
