Yes, Rotenfels/Gaggenau belongs to Baden and is situated
near the town Baden-Baden but also near the border to the
Alsace. I don't know if the one I found is yours.  I think the
only possibility to find out if he is the right one or not is to
find out if the names of the parents match. And how you
can find out this I have explained in my posting above.

I have just asked in the german forum if there are other
websites like this in other areas in Germany. I know there
is an archive in the Rhineland-Palatinate area, but I don't
know if there is also such a website as in Baden. I have
also asked if someone knows of something similaire about
the Alsace. We have some French members in the German
Forum who come from the Alsace area.
