Hi,
Could anyone help me with any census details for William Elliott who was born in Consett in 1860?
Sorry, I know it's not much to go on but that's the only info I have on him at present.

all children born Consett

In 1881 I think William is boarding at Bishop Auckland with Lionel Kipling & family
at RG11/4915 Folio 69 Page 17

Here's the other William:
1861
217 Consett, Conside & Knitsley, Durham
ELLIOTT
John head 29 Mill Furnaceman Northumberland Walker
Ann wife 25 Durham Gateshead
William son 1 " Lanchester
but can't find John & Ann in 1871
I wonder, as they live at the same house number in Consett in both census, that John and George are one and the same man, both furnacemen, both from Northumberland, both Anns from Gateshead?

In 1881 George is a widower with son Thomas, living at 52 Front St, Consett, and the two younger girls, Margory & Meggie are living with grandmother Sarah White at 27 Front Street.
When you said you had found the same family in 1891, was it this one?

Hi Barbara,
Thankyou for all the Elliott census details which are very much appreciated. It certainly looks as if John on the 1861 census and George on the 1871 are one and the same person.
At present I don't know if this is the family with son William that I am looking for but I have received other info today which may help solve the problem.
