Whetstone Churches
« on: Friday 02 May 08 09:59 BST (UK) »

Hi All

I am trying to trace the possible resting place for three people whom I believe are of the same family. I have the basic details of their death registrations and believe they were buried in Whetstone. The FHO don't show any details, would anyone have an idea of where I could look? I would presume I'll have to go to the Leicester records office.

Just for info they were Thomas Roberts d Blaby Q2/1902, Jane (his wife I think) Blaby Q2/1904 both aged 82 and Henry A Roberts , Blaby Q1/1906 age 44.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ian

Greeting’s & welcome Ian……

I can have a look at the Burial registers on your behalf.
Next week during my weekly visit to the Records Office
Then report back here on this thread with my finding’s

It looks very much like that the burials took place at St. Peter’s Parish Church
Whetstone. I have just checked one of my burial Discs & there was
33 Roberts burials at Whetstone.
But unfortunately theses records only goes up to 1891.
So I couldn’t confirm your findings.
