Girls Home Ripon info please complete

I have Cicily Garbutt age 15 in 1901 at 33 Bondgate Ripon,listed as inmate.It says Girls 'Home', run by 2 single women,Cicily is the eldest inmate, the youngest is 4.      What kind of school was it? Her father Robert Garbutt in 1901 is a widow with 2 children at home age 13 and 12. So why was she put there.Anyone help please?

Thats fantastic thankyou.So it was an industrial school. ...In the 1891 census they are listed as boarders but in 1901 listed as inmates...Fascinating.Thanks
