Don't know if you have found this yet.
I can't find a marriage for a George Cutts and a Sarah on the Notts Marriage Index.
Your best bet would be to send for Mary's birth certificate. This will give Sarah's maiden name. As Thorpe registers in Newark this looks like her

Jusr re-read my reply and I realise that Mary wasn't born Thorpe 
She was born Elston and this still registers in Newark so that birth should be ok

Unless I am mistaken neither of those places are near Thorpe, Elston or Newark and I shouldn't think they would have wandered to get married.
Could be wrong but I would still send for a birth certificate
