Hi I have had a look on free bmd and there is a marriage for Griffith John in 1909 march 1/4 Swansea 11a 1336. But it dose not give the surname Eaton. You would need to buy the cert to confirm that it is the right person you seek. Hope this helps. William James

If Mary died in 1909 wouldn't a marriage to a new wife in the March 1/4 of that same year,be a little too fast
I would suggest it was probably a few years later?

Hi Kev
Jun 1910 JOHN Griffith Swansea 11a 1537
I crossed checked this one yesterday and no match to an Eaton I am afraid.
Elderly Relative has said that he remarried to a woman with the surname EATON after Mary died in 1909. Can a anyone else in the family substantiate it .

Looking in the complete index, ither is no entry for a John Griffith/Griffiths, June 1910, or Swansea 11a 1537. It appears that this reference for John Griffith must be a mis-transcription. There must be three names somewhere looking for a fourth.

Silvery,
His name is Griffith John, not t'other way round.
The indexes for 1910 are very difficult to read, all splodgy, but it certainly looks like 11a 1537 to me.
There is a Catherine Richards in that same 1/4 who's ref number cannot be read at all- that looks like it might be 1537....what does anyone else think?
