Marriage lookup please

Can someone please look up and see if  there is a marriage for George Shillinglaw, he was born 04 Jul 1798, Earlston, Berwick, Scotland

He was transported to Tasmania as a convict in 1829/30  and his convict report states he was married, I have been unable to find anything on a marriage at the time of transportation.

Hello Shari,
Using wildcards in a variety of different ways I have had a look on Scotland's People but, as you say,  there doesn't seem to be a marriage of a George Shillinglaw anywhere in Scotland between 1815 and 1830. Could he have met his wife on the way over and then married once they were permitted to do so? I'm not familiar with convict reports - were they filled in before transportation, on arrival or at some later date? Where did he commit his offence?

Hello Rae,

Thank you for taking the time to look up a marriage for my George Shillinglaw.

I find now he went to England, married there and committed the crime to which he was transported to Van Diemans Land.

I am yet to find any marriage even in England, this comes from word of mouth only but will keep trying.
