How to research Canadian family history

Can anyone help me
I have just found a line of my family tree in Canada and America. I am already a member of Ancestry.com and its not of any help at all. How do I trace family members details in different countries. I have tried a few web searches but nothing of any help. What would of been really useful is a site like this one in Canada but I have had no luck finding one.
What advice can anyone give me

I would try posting on the Emigrant to Canada board which can be found as a child board in the Emigrants section on the home page.

It would be best to give them all the details you know about this family and how and when you think they might have emigrated.

There are a wonderful bunch of people and if they can't help you they will certainly suggest places for you to look.
