I was wondering would anybody like to have a go at this picture of my Uncle Arthur and his mates, taken sometime in the first war, I would be eternaly gratefull if one of you clever people could improve it a bit.

Oooh a nice divisional sign visible there...The dot dash of 17th (Northern) Div...

Royal Field Artillery...

??Early 1919 just before the Div was demobbed...
There are Overseas Service Stripes, and everyone has at least x1 medal ribbon!

Those on the front row are drivers...

I knew they were Horse artillery, but where can you get all the other information from. I am straining my eyes to see a dot dash.

Thanks for that!  Cool

The dot dash is supposed to be the top bit of a one and a seven!

There was plethora of divisional signs that appeared during WW1, and some are a bit more obscure than others!
