Well done Viktoria!

Delphy Hall maybe?   Do you think he means Dolphinholme?  Or Davyhulme?  Grin

Hackney to Woolwich is probably the same distance as Crayford to Woolwich.

Not quite Mo ......  Hackney to Woolwich is a lot further than Crayford to Woolwich... I live in Kent  Grin

Sorry, I was only going off Google map directions and checked the RAC too.  Google said about a mile and a half more from Hackney to Woolwich.

My apologies Mo Embarrassed   about 8.7 from Hackeny and 9.1 from Woolwich, I was forgetting about the Blackwall tunnel, not being a driver. Grin

I live close to Crayford and Hackney seems miles away to me  Grin

Thanks again to all suggestions for the Lancashire-born Thomas.  Seems I am possibly barking up the wrong tree with this one though.

I wonder if the grand daughter Elizabeth born Brixton is from Thomas' first marriage?   Thomas & Mary's daughter Mary was with her Cruickshank grandparents 1881-1911, as was Mary's son Harry Donne from her second marriage, following her death in 1889.   However, if George & Susan are the "right" ones, then there are other sons to whom gr dau Elizth could belong.

The list of Williams bmd's is endless, though there are a few for Lambeth which covers Brixton that might be worth looking at.  Needles and haystacks come to mind!  There are Hackney deaths for George Henry in D1883 age 71 and Susan M1885 age 68 which would fit, can't seem to find them in 1891.

Will plod on further with George Henry & Susan, it seems more promising than the Thomas from Lancs boarding in Crayford.

Thanks to all.

Regards.
