what i would like to know is what happened to phyliss after her mum died , she was only yung maybe 1-2 years, did she stay with her father or was she adopted

This looks like the death registration for Jane;

Jane Attwell   Dec 1913     Thanet   2a  1176

So Phyllis was very young when her mother died;  formal adoptions did not begin until 1927 so she could have stayed with her father/grandparents/other family members.

Do you know if Phyllis married?  If yes then you might find clues there; her father might have been a witness.

Hi,

The full marriage index can be searched on www.ancestry.co.uk  on the subscription site; but you have to search each year quarter by quarter.

Phyllis was born 1912, so start the search in 1932.
