Humphreys/Johnson Stoke-On-Trent 1900

I am looking for any connections or descendants of the Marriage which took place at Bucknall St Mary,Stoke-On-Trent of a John Humphreys and a Martha E Johnson.Despite my best efforts I can't find the couple in the 1901 Census.

Hi William

Have a look at Stoke on Trent RG13/2603 Folio 76 Page 46 and see what you think. She is listed as Ellen (Martha E ?) but her father is Edward Johnson.

In 1891 I think the Johnson family are at Stoke on Trent RG12/2170 Folio 126 Page 11. The daughter is transcribed as Martha "C" but it could easily be "E" on the original.

In 1881 at Stoke on Trent RG11/2731 Folio 94 Page 13, she is undoubtedly listed as Martha E Johnson. Probable Birth Registration in the last quarter of 1878 shows her to be Martha Ellen.

Many thanks DS,and the Rosina Johnson in the Family is very interesting as I believe John and Martha Ellen Humphreys had a daughter Rosina Humphreys born in 1916 in Stoke.It is this Rosina that I am especially interested in for I believe she married my relative Arthur Finney at Stoke in 1940.Although of course I am extremely grateful to you for your efforts in finding the Family,I am giving myself a severe talking to for not spotting the Families myself!
