Is there any way to check where my ggggrandfather JOHN CLENDINNEN is buried, the Cemetery??
He Died 6 Feb 1855 in Bideford Devon

I have been to Barnstaple Parish records today and I could find no entry for John Clenniden in the Bideford Parish register.

As you have a specific date of death, do you have the actual death cert, in which case does it give any more info?
Do you think he could have been buried in surrounding a village?
Maybe need to check 1851 census...to see where  he was living then?

If you can give any more info, maybe I can help narrow his burial place down.....andy

Hi

In 1851 John Clendennen is 80, b Ireland, Down  living in High street, Bideford. He is a superanuated Wesleyan Minister.

hopefully his occupation may help in tracing him.
