Hi:

I'm looking for Oscar MELDRUM b 1846 in Sunderland in the 1901 census.  In 1891 he was living in Westoe, glassmaker, with wife Mary b 1849 and daughter Ada b 1873.  Oscar is a mariner, so could also be at sea.

They were in Westoe in 1871 and 1881.

I have found a possible death for him in Greenwich in 1909.

He is boarding in London (RG13/354) indexed as Oscar M Melaum.

Sorry, I thought you had access to the census but couldn't find him.

He is written as Oscar Meldrum; it's just that the 'd' looks like an 'a', so has been indexed incorrectly.

He is living at 53 Cotton St, Poplar:
Oscar M Meldrum, 55, wid, master mariner seas, b Sunderland, Durham
