Stonebroom, Derbys
« on: Thursday 08 May 08 19:49 UTC (UK) »

Has anyone else family from Stonebroom?  I have 2 different sets of ancestors from there, and I thought it was a village.  Now Ive come to the conclusion it was one long street, am I wrong?  I visited Shirland recently, but Stonebroom appears to have been demolished.

Hi
I notice we have common interests in family history names. I'd be very interested in having a chat.
Regards

Hi,
There was a family by the surname of Rhodes who lived on Kingsley Crescent in Stonebroom. I don't know if they are still there. I used to deliver newspapers to them in the 80's.

Hello, although my line left with my granddad there were still Rhodes families living there.  It's possible they are connected to my Rhodes family.
