Thomas Varney born 1808 Mentmore, Bucks.

Can anyone, please, find him.  The only information I have is his Baptism at Mentmore 17.4.1808. He is not buried at Mentmore, any help please?

  Cannot see him in census nor did he pop down the road to Cheddington  as I have the PR's.

  did see this if any good to you ...2 jul 1753 by banns

      baptism  1901 3 Nov  George child of Louisa Varney of Cheddington.
   They may tie in somewhere.

Hi Tazzie

I am having second thoughts about Thomas as in Bucks GS parish register for Mentmore it says Thomas son of John and Sarah Varney bap 1808, then in Bucks FHS register is says Thomas son of John and Sarah Mercey, and seeing that there is no marriage or death in M/M nor on the census for anywhere as far as I can see, neither is Thomas mentioned in his fathers Will dated 1834, I feel that there was no Thomas Varney.
Thank you for the other info can't as yet relate to Ann Varney of Marsworth, nor Louisa Varney of Cheddington, but will keep, maybe one day.

Just a thought, there are FARNEY's in the area of Ivinghoe which is only a couple of miles away.  Imagine an ag lab with no teeth saying Varney!

That's a point, thank you.I have come across Varney as Darney, Vanney a number of names, so anything goes.
I don't know of any Varneys in Ivinghoe but always worth a try.
