St Andrew Great, Cambridge (PAGE-WEBB) marriage / family lookup
« on: Friday 09 May 08 11:05 BST (UK) »

Dear list,
Does anyone have access to the St Andrew the Great, Cambridge or Boyd's marriage records to look up any details (eg father's name / parish) for this marriage:
Thomas PAGE married 10 August 1818 St Andrew the Great, Cambridge to Mary WEBB

I think Thomas was the son of Patman PAGE & his wife Mary Cranway REED, born about 1798 & died 1841.
I have no idea about Mary WEBB parents, though from her burial, I know she died November 1844 aged 43 years.

Any help or links appreciated,
Trix

Wow, that was quick Toni!

It might be my Thomas Page- as the baptism index I have use to find the children  (the Cambridgeshire Family History Society one http://www.cfhs.org.uk/cgi-bin/baptismindex.cgi)  only lists the parents as "Thomas & Mary" so it could be the second wife Mary BUTT rather than the original wife Mary WEBB.

Not sure how to prove it one way or another - but guess I will start by trying to find the first Mary's death.  Any other ideas?

Thank you for the help,
Trix

i can only access marriages  Undecided pre 1837 and these don't give fathers names etc. like you would find on the civil registration documents.

i would suggest you look on familyhistoryonline for a death for Mary as sometimes these burials records give details suchs as wife of Thomas - now that would be really helpful

failing that the IGI - but this only gives dates and places no extra details

Thank you Toni,

I found this on the CFHS sie
Cambridge burials: 1825  PAGE  Mary  32 yrs of  Cambridge, St. Andrew the Great

which looks promising.

I will have a good look on the National Burial Index & Family History Online too.

Cheers,
Trix
