1901 census lookup

Hi:

I'm looking for Ada Louise FREEMAN b 1873, Sunderland, with a one year old son Richard, in the Hull area.  Possible with her husband Richard who was 20 years older than her. 

Both Richard and Ada were blind.

hi richard and his wife ada were living in hull in the 1901  richard is a music teacher and they are both lsited as blind they also have two sons phillip harold freeman age 11 and richard oscar age 1 ada louise is age 28 her hubby richard is 48
she is listed as being born in south shields durham

Many thanks - that is them.  He must truly have had a gift of music to be able to play when blind.

I wasn't aware of another son - makes me wonder if this was a second marriage for Richard.  Ada went on to marry twice more after Richard died, and she lived to be 91!

Would you mind giving me the address in Hull?

hi again they are living in on address looks like 2 browns entry  in the parish of st marys the municiple borough of white friar gate  in kingston upon hull yorkshire

phillip harold who is 11 was born in sussex

i found the family in hte 1891 census in sussex richard was married before and is listed as a widower in the 1891 census he has quite a few children with him they are as follows
alfred w freeman age 7
charles h freeman age 9
elisabeth f freeman age 15
herbert w freeman age 4
phillip h freeman age 1
richard m freeman age 13 and himself richard w freeman age 38
he is listed as a organist and musi teacher and blind

also says he was born in st johns surrey in london

Judging by this .. it appears that Fanny died just before the 1891 census ..  Undecided
