Ad Aware query

Hi Every one,

Does anyone know why Ad-Aware, keeps offering downloads in a foreign languages?

I suspect that it is because some 'bugs' come in other tongues but I would like a definitive answer if you have one please!

I'm another one curious about this - I just do the data updates & ignore the others, due to the language bits - seems like I'm not the only one!

Which version of Ad-Aware are you using ?

I'm using Ad-Aware 2007 Version 7.0.2.6. I've just asked for updates & the software downloads offered include Spanish, Italian, Flemish, Dutch & Portugese + service & GUI for 7.0.2.7 - the latter I would download, but I can't "de-select" the languages so will not being doing any. (The definitions file is up to date).

I am also using Ad-Aware 2007  version 0078 0000 and am up to date on my definitions.

I accidentally downloaded 1 or 2 languages before I realised what I had done.

You cannot de-select them I am also being offered, Flemish Dutch & Portuguese. 

Must admit I did not investigate any further!

I am using the same version but it only offers me updates in English, possibly the mistake in downloading other language packs has confused the program which is now trying to be helpful and offer others - but there doesn't appear to be any option to restrict the downloads to English alone once this is done.

May I say that this first lot made it seem as if it was part of the package!

Ad-aware is supposed to be reliable, so it seemed to be the right thing to do!  It is still updating all the other definitions OK

I've just renewed my security package... and once again feel * Secure
This is not Ad-aware but it seems to be following a trend.

I was given a choice of which package...I chose the UK one and found it is a combined deal with about every language in Europe lumped in with it.

With adaware the language pack may have been added under Tools but the only way of removing any tools or addons according to the manual is by using Windows own add/remove tools.

Go to control panel and check the add remove tool and see if the language pack is listed seperately fro Adaware itself - if so it should be safe enough to remove it.

I have checked as per your instructions and it seems to be one package!  Nothing listed separately!

So now do I down load the other languages?  My feeling is that I should!  Not very confident about it though!
