Wesleyan Methodist Chapel at Jarrow
« on: Saturday 24 October 09 08:26 UTC (UK) »

Hi  Smiley

My G Grandparents were married in the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, Jarrow in 1901.

Has anyone any idea what this Chapel is called now, or even if it still exists?

Kindest regards
Tracey

The Wesleyan Methodist Chapel was on St. John's Terrace, and is no longer there, it was apparently demolished in the 1960s. It was opposite St. Bede's Church, which you can see on http://gis.durham.gov.uk/website/interMAP/viewer.htm near the post code NE323AB in "search". The chapel is shown on the 1960-69  map.
