hold the fort!!!
'81 census reveals that Peter did have kids with his first wife. they must have packed them in maybe thats why she did.
married '74
kids
joseph H '75
Annie A    '77
Catherine M '78
John E      '79
Peter M     age 11 months '80
even for them days that seems a little tight!! Shocked

she died '81
kids born Annie onwards born Lewisham. bingo. dad Peters birth place in this occasion though is Gouldhurst kent not Horsmonden. but date is right.

so wherever Peter is in 91 and 1901 he is likely to have lots of kids with him

Here in Gravesend, we have an old family run business that is called Maynards.  It is situated in the Thamesgate centre.  There was also a florist shop that was in Windmill Street. That closed a couple of years ago now.

Wonder if it could be from the same family you are looking for??

Have you tried looking through the ark?

Best Wishes....Iris Smiley

Sorry!

http://cityark.medway.gov.uk/query/results/?Mode=Search&PathList=/Z4a_Medway_Ancestors/

The above takes me straight into the Churches.  If you scroll down you will see churches in the medway area, where you can search for BMD's.

Maynards of Gravesend, would most possibly be  .....
St.Georges
Milton next Gravesend  St Peter Paul
Christ Church
Holy Trinity

It is a labourious task....but, very interseting, you never know what you might find !!!!  Smiley

Happy hunting.....Iris Smiley

If you look at Milton next Gravesend  St Peter Paul scroll down to 1873 - 1899 and go to jpg number 144, you will find Peter and Anns marriage on 2nd page.

Hi Kas

Quote
can anyone find Henry and Rebecca in '91 and 1901 census so we can see if they had any kid?

I think you already have Henry (a widower) in 1891 in Milton, Gravesend with brother William Wink

Quote
interestingly in 1871 Peter is living with his brother William and family
and in 1891 his brother Henry is living there as a widower with William and co

Couldn't immediately see him in 1901 Undecided
