I am trying to find information on a Walter St Clair Brockway born abt 1864, no idea where he was born, but he married in Victoria to a Harriet Emily Clarey,she was born in Strangways, Victoria 1864 & died 1949 Claremont WA. Any Help would be much appreciated.

I have found Walter Brockway with his family on the 1871 census living at Bradford Yorkshire living at 9 Whiting Hill
George Brockway head aged 52 a Baptist Minister and School teacher born Leyton Essex
Harriet wife age 50 born huddersfield Yorkshire
Emma Louise dau aged 34 school teacher born trowbridge Wiltshire
Frederick C son aged 23 cabinet maker """""""""""""""
Harriet P dau aged 20 drapers asst born?
Alfred p son aged 19 merchant's clerk born devon
Joseph S son aged 16 worsted iron worker born devon
Lella e dau aged 15 Scholar born Devon

Hi,
the National Archives holds an enlistment record for Hugh St Clair BROCKWAY born 1918. He states born in London. He may well be the grandson of your Walter as he lists his Next of Kin is WALTER BROCKWAY.[per Jenn, Reply #3 ] He enlisted at Claremont, WA.
I think Walter, Hugh's father was a surveyor. Here is a listing for him with his address.

Hugh died very recently. Here is a funeral notice for him.
