Hello Jean. Here is a nice stone for Fothergill. I hope it one of yours. At the foot of this stone rests the mortal remains of Richard Fothergill, who after an active, useful, and benevolent life, finished his earthly pilgrimage in the seventieth year of is age. As he had lived, he died, in a full and firm reliance on the promises of the gospel. Fifty years of this good mans valuable life were occupied in the faithful discharge of his duty as a schoolmaster. Thirty six years he held the office of Parish clerk, and died, as a Christian ought to die, in love and charity with all mankind, on the twenty sixth day of September AD 1821.
