Hi I have posted a request in the immigrant thread which after finding this, have I think put it in wrong place, apologies for that.!!! My question is, is it possible to trace family that emmigrated in the 60's ? I don't have much info to go on, His name was Joseph Beecroft born in England and he Married a Doris ? in England before emigrating to Emu Plains Aderlaid. They have 2 son's, not sure if born in England or Australia one being a Michael Beecroft..If anyone can help or advise me where to start i would very much apprciate it..! Many Thanks

Hi Leanne and Baggsy, this is why I asked about a second given name.....and the Ryerson Index is http://www.ryersonindex.org/
You can apply to have details of the death notice.
There are also two Doris Beecrofts listed.....
Maybe they moved to NSW......

My 98 yr old father aged about 1 year

Hi
I have linked the baggy's initial request on another board http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,304172.msg1858806.html#msg1858806 as there is no mention of Emu Plains. Perhaps this was a later address.
I have seen the name Emu Plains on early bdm registrations in South Australia. However the name is not listed on the Manning Index. http://www.slsa.sa.gov.au/manning/search.html

Thankyou all for help and links..The newspaper death sounds about right in age, as found he was born in 1909!!!also name and everything so it must be him! They could well have moved several times, as Emu Plaines was an address sent to my mother in 1960's and she said it was Aderlaide, so she could be wrong, about the Aderlaide bit..she never kept in contact after that..I will have to see if I can find any more information on the mystery "Doris!!! Also their son///s only know of Michael, but has been said they had 2 son's, Michael might well of come back to England I guess!..Do they have a marriage resgistery index at all? in case he happened to marry out there! Thank you all once again for help and fast replys. Baggy's
