Scottish mining villages

Came across this site by accident it has a wealth of information.

Click on to Scottish mining villages then onto area..have just had a look at Clackmannanshire and Stirlingshire, newspaper reports re pit accidents post 1855, so many family names  Sad

Horrendous working conditions and so many young children working in them...
