Hi, I am looking for a passanger list for a ship ( name unknown) that arrived in New Zealand late 1902 from Tasmania or Victoria.
The names on it that I am look for are: Joseph Henry Smith Miriam Smith Children Arthur Smith Nellie Smith Stella Jane Smith
The children may also have the name PURCELL as a middle name as well.
The ship would have arrived in Auckland late 1902.
I have posted this as the Tasmanian Library have said it would be easier for some one who is able to help me out to look for me.
Thanks for your time.
Eileen

Hi Eileen
The passenger lists for Outward sailings from Melbourne have been filmed but unfortunately they have only been indexed up to 1886. It would appear that many of the ships sailing from Melbourne to New Zealand went via Tasmania but the lists only include passengers onboard when they sailed from Melbourne. There is no easy way of checking for your names other than ploughing through 2 or 3 films. The films may be available in New Zealand so it may pay to check.
