Non-Parochial registers Sorted thanks
« on: Monday 12 May 08 07:38 BST (UK) »

I recently purchased a few pages of non-parochial registrations for baptisms and burials. Is there a way of finding where the pages were recorded ? There is a ref. for instance RG4 / 3475 Can this be used to trace the church or chapel ?

Cheers
Dave

Yes in 10 seconds using the National Archives catalogue

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/default.asp

Use the box in the top left, enter RG 4/3475 (getting the spaces in the right places) and press "Go to reference".

Thanks pharmakon
Just what I needed - the order was supposed to be Yorkshire.
But I'll have a play around with the numbers and see what comes up !
