Can't see the wood for the !!!

I have a marriage for John BATEMAN and Mary Sammon Aug 1840 St Michaels Coventry
I have two sons for them baptised in Willoughby
Thomas Sep 1841 and Henry May 1846
But I cant find the couple on the 1841 census nor any of the family on the 1851 census
Has anyone any suggestions where to look next
I've tried Family Search and all the usual tricks with the censuses including Christian name only with birth date I need help

I tried searching for your Batemans but alas no luck either!
They must be incredibly frustrating for you. Will try again tomorrow as its bedtime here in Australia.
