Deleting email from outlook express outbox

I have stupidly put an attachment on an email that is far too large for the system to cope with.  It is trying valiantly to send it but everything else is so slow I cannot stand it!   How can I get rid of it?   If I go into the out box, right click and do delete it just tells me it is already trying to send it and it cannot be deleted.

You will have to stop it sending first, then you can delete.

Click the 'send & receive ' icon and when the little box appears showing how far you have got in sending the email click on 'stop'.
