I think he's just very young - and very good looking. Maybe Daisy was the girl who owned the photograph - his sweetheart perhaps?

Eye brows tended not to be plucked in those days by ordinary folk, kooky
Indi
I've found a very interesting one on the 1920 census - not sure how to put up the reference:
a Mrs Daisy Padgett, born 1900, Kansas. Married to Leslie L Padgett. living in Oklahoma.
Only 1 male Daisy Padgett - born 1915
All the 1900 Daisy Padgetts are female and none born or living Kansas
Has anyone checked the dates when the photographer was working?

My very first re-action to the photo before reading any of the messages was ' that's a woman'

Hi Indie
I think Gadget has something there asking for details of the photographer because as well all know that just because it was found in the US doesn't mean it was taken in the US.
We have a friend named Dave whom we call Daisy. But that is only because he once got a business letter addressed to Miss Daisy Smith.
I don't have a clue if it's a man or a woman....if you only look at the right side of the face....that is the right side as you look at it I think it looks like a man. There is something odd that I noticed but I am not sure if it has been colorized but there is a definate difference between the colour of the face and the ears. It appears as if the sitter is wearing quite a good deal of makeup of some sort.
Could this be an actress dressed as a man for a role she is playing? Could the name of the character be Daisy Padgett and the receiver so familiar with the sitter that putting his/her real name wouldn't be necessary?

Hi again, If you look at a photo of my son when he was 15 and now, at 17, the facial changes are amazing - but the sideburns have only been really noticeable in the last six months. At 15 he had a soft, almost pretty look, with longish curly hair auburn. Now he still has the curls, but they're shorter - the face is longer, leaner and much more rugged. Softness has completely gone, in a relatively short time. So different! Still think it's a lovely looking guy - it's the date of the outfit I find more puzzling! Paulene He reminds me of someone, but I just can't hink who :-

None, Emmeline, or a brow ridge. That's one of the reasons that some of us still believe that it is a she
Maybe Old Rowley could date the photo for us
